KIEL (WKOW) -- An officer with the City of Kiel Police Department conducted a traffic stop late Sunday night.
The stop resulted in the arrest of the driver of the vehicle, former Sheboygan mayor Robert Ryan, for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, 1st offense.
Ryan was issued a citation for OWi, which lists an initial court appearance in the City of Kiel Municipal Court Tuesday, April 23rd at 2:00 p.m.
After his arrest at the scene, Ryan was transported to a hospital for a legal blood draw. Upon completion, the arresting officer then took Ryan to the Manitowoc County Jail where he was held on a 12-hour detention for OWI offenders.
