HAYWARD (WKOW) -- A man responsible for killing an elderly woman in Sawyer County will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Chris Roalson was sentenced to life in prison without parole, according to our sister station, WQOW-TV. Roalson murdered Irena Roszak.

Roszak, who was 93 years old, was stabbed at least 15 times at her home in Radisson in 2009. Investigators called it a "thrill killing with satanic overtones."

A boy who was 15 at the time, told investigators he was the "lookout" during the murder. He's serving an eight year sentence.

The Duluth News Tribune reports the life sentence for Roalson was mandatory under Wisconsin law and the only question at his sentencing was about parole.
