Clinton man arrested for 5th OWI

ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) – Rock County Deputies arrested a Clinton man for his fifth OWI after finding him passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle.

The Rock County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident around 5:30 p.m. Monday night in the area of E. Bradford-Townhall Road and S. STH 140.

Upon arrival, authorities found a gray, 2007 Chevy Silverado in the ditch and still running.  Authorities say the driver, 70-year-old Jack D. Tuls, had a strong odor of intoxicants and that Tuls admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the day.

Officials said Tuls failed one field sobriety test and refused all other tests.

Authorities transported Tuls to the Rock County Jail and cited him for operating after revocation, as well as operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, fifth offense.
