Random shot fired at traveling vehicle

MADISON (WKOW) -- Just after midnight Tuesday, a 24-year-old male motorist was exiting onto southbound Verona Road from the eastbound Beltline when he passed an oncoming vehicle traveling northbound on Verona Road.

The man though he heard a stone strike his vehicle, then discovered there was a bullet hole in the rear driver's side door.

No one was hurt.  The suspect vehicle is described as a white sedan. 

Victim appears to be a random target at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
