BURLINGTON (WKOW) -- It appears authorities will not be able to determine the cause of the big fire that destroyed much of the Echo Lake Foods plant in Burlington.
The final report from the State Fire Marshall is due in two weeks, but our affiliate station in Milwaukee, WISN, was able to get a copy of the final report from the Burlington Fire Department.
It says the fire started in a mechanical food processing room, and although the exact cause will be undetermined, officials say they did rule out criminal intent.
No one was hurt or killed in the January fire, which caused $30 million damage.
