Madison mom arrested for leaving kids home alone

MADISON (WKOW) -- Police in Madison arrested a woman they say left her two children home alone and surrounded by broken glass.  

Investigators say 25-year-old Lauren Hughes and her husband got into a fight Thursday night and she began to throw and break items in their home.

They say the husband took off and Hughes left a short time later, leaving their 4-year-old and 18-month-old children by themselves.

Police say Hughes was just arrested for another domestic incident Wednesday night.
