
MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police arrested three teenagers after a disturbance outside La Follette High School last week.
It is believed a confrontation was fueled by an ongoing dispute between two rival gang members. An officer reported seeing up to 15 teens in the street during the conflict.
A 17-year-old student, Ja'mohn Barney, had an 11-inch knife inside his backpack. Another suspect, 17-year-old Ramar Brown, attends an alternative school and had a folding knife in his pocket.
One member stated he was punched, but there weren't any signs of injury.
a 16-year-old was taken to the Juvenile Reception Center on tentative charges of disorderly conduct and trespassing.
Both Barney and Brown face tentative charges of possessing a weapon on school grounds.
Neither of the weapons were displayed during the altercation.
