MADISON (WKOW) -- Every hour someone is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. And this week, the National MS Society is raising awareness of the disease to help find a cure.
March 11-17 is MS Awareness Week, where people all over the nation come together to share, educate and build awareness.
According to the National MS Society, MS is a destroyer of connections. Experts there say it disrupts signals, separates minds from bodies and pulls us away from each other.
Jim Turk, the manager of UW Biological Safety, joins us on 27 News at 5 to discuss his diagnosis and what MS Awareness Week is all about.
