MADISON (WKOW) -- A bill from a democratic senator would make it illegal to carry a concealed weapon in the State Capitol.
Senator Fred Risser says both the Senate and Assembly have different rules for carrying, but the Supreme Court and the Capitol Police Department are exempt from the concealed carry law.
He wants to eliminate what he calls the "patchwork of regulation" and keep all guns out of the Capitol.
Wisconsin's concealed carry law took effect in 2011.
