Rock County increases St. Patrick's Day patrol

ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) -- Law enforcement agencies in Rock County will be deploying extra patrol personnel on local streets and county highways.

Starting at 7:00 p.m. on Friday patrol units will be on the lookout for motorists driving while intoxicated. Traffic enforcement actions on Saturday will include seatbelt violations continuing with alcohol patrol during the evening hours.

There will be additional patrols on the interstate and highways too. The Town of Milton, City of Beloit, Janesville and the Rock County Sheriff's Office have assigned grant funded units in addition to on-duty patrol.
