FRIENDSHIP (WKOW) -- A 28-year-old Adams man was charged Friday with first-degree reckless homicide in the death of his girlfriend.
According to the complaint, Coleman Dybul told authorities that he thought someone was attacking his girlfriend, 27-year-old Toni Voss when he woke up suddenly on March 2. He says he shot his shotgun and when he turned on the light, he had shot Voss in the chest. She died on the scene.
Dybul remains in jail. He was also charged with marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession.
The Wausau Daily Herald reports Dybul told authorities he was in the Marines and served in Afghanistan.
