Domestic situation in Stoughton prompts road closures

Posted:

STOUGHTON (WKOW) -- The Dane County Sheriff's office says a domestic situation in Stoughton has prompted road closures.  With that, an automated message went out to parents in the Stoughton Area School District Monday afternoon.

The message reads: the Stoughton Area School District has been in communication with the Dane County Sheriff's office and is aware of a police incident that has closed roads, leaving them inaccessible to drop off students.

The closed roads are in the vicinity of Skyline Drive, Shadyside Drive and Williams Drive.  This will impact a number of students who are dropped off by school buses.

We will be running our bus routes and will NOT drop off any students in the affected area until we are informed by the sheriff's office that the area is safe for children.

We will drop off students who live in unaffected areas first.  If we are still unable to drop off the remaining students due to the closed roads, the buses will then return to River Bluff Middle School.
