MADISON (WKOW) -- A 32-year-old woman took her two dogs, Max and Duchess, for an early morning walk Monday when they were attacked by a third dog.
The woman's dogs were both on leashes, but the third dog was not. That dog, Goldie, was being walked by its owner, 55-year-old Lucille Brown.
The police report states Goldie "attacked both dogs quite viciously, alternating its attacks back and forth between the two." The owner of Max and Duchess was quite emotional.
The woman still had Max on a leash, but Duchess ran off during the episode. She stated both dogs were injured, but she was unsure to what extent.
Brown stated she felt horrible about the incident and told the officer her dog is sometimes too strong and powerful for her to control.
Brown was cited for permitting a dog to run at large, permitting an animal to injure another animal and for not having a dog license.
