MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Out of Wisconsin's 72 counties, Ozaukee County ranked healthiest, according to a new report.
The rankings were released Wednesday by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The rankings were based on 25 factors influencing health. They include rates of smoking and childhood poverty, obesity levels, teen birth rates, and access to medical care.
So, where does Dane County stand? Number 15, not bad.
While Ozaukee County came out on top, Milwaukee is listed as the second-worst at number 71, with Menominee County at the very bottom.
Milwaukee County ranked low in part because 29 percent of residents were considered obese and 30 percent of kids were growing up in single-parent households.
