GREENDALE (WKOW) – Former Green Bay Packers player Gilbert Brown is helping high school students stand up against bullying.
Brown talked about his own experiences growing up and being bullied at a high school in the Milwaukee suburb of Greendale on Wednesday.
Brown says bullying about his weight had a life changing impact.
Linda Lee leads a group called Greendale Against Bullying. Lee says the meeting was about helping students have the courage to stand up against bullying.
Our sister station, WISN-TV, says some of those at the gathering say face-to-face bullying has given way to cyber bullying and some parents may not even be aware of bullying online.
