BUTLER COUNTY, OH (WKOW) -- Most of us aren't happy with the long winter, and now an attorney in Ohio thinks someone needs to pay.
He's targeting the famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil.
Phil predicted an early spring, but that hasn't come true.
So the prosecutor in Butler County issued a tongue-in-cheek indictment against the rodent for misrepresenting an early spring.
"I woke up this morning and the wind was blowing, the snow was flying, the temperatures were falling, and I said Punxsutawney, you let us down," says prosecutor Michael Gmoser.
One of Phil's handlers is coming to his defense.
He says it hit 60 degrees more than two weeks ago in their area, so that essentially counts as an early spring.
