GREEN COUNTY (WKOW)--Green County deputies have released new details about an alleged child abuse incident in the small town of Exeter.
23-year-old Eric Wade remains in custody after allegedly strangling and abusing a 17-year-old girl. The incident happened just before 1:00 am Friday morning in the small town of Exeter just outside of New Glarus.
The victim's mother called 911 reporting that Wade was hitting and strangling her daughter. Deputies say the 17-year-old sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Wade is facing charges for strangulation, false imprisonment, substantial battery and physical abuse of a child. Deputies expect him to appear in court sometime on Monday.
GREEN COUNTY (WKOW) -- A 23-year-old man is in custody on tentative child abuse charges.
Eric C. Wade was arrested just before 1 a.m. on Friday, after Green County Sheriff's deputies responded to a disturbance at a home in the town of Exeter, which is near New Glarus.
Wade is accused of strangulation, false imprisonment, substantial battery and physical abuse of a child.
No other details have been released at this time. Wade is still in custody in the Green County jail.
