MADISON (WKOW) -- Friday night, the community Policing Team of the Madison Police Department's West District stopped a vehicle with a suspended registration near Cameron Drive.
The sergeant immediately smelled a strong odor of un-burned marijuana. The driver, 27-year-old Stephen Lee Wilson insisted the odor was due to a friend smoking in the car earlier in the day. Wilson was taken into custody.
The sergeant did a search of the vehicle and found both marijuana and individually packaged cocaine. Wilson was taken to the Dane County Jail on numerous charges. Those charges include possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of THC, possession of drugs within 1000 feet of a park, operating after suspension, and operating with suspended registration.
