CASHTON (WKOW) -- A man from Illinois was arrested in New Jersey for stealing 21 tons of Wisconsin cheese.
New Jersey state police say the 34-year-old suspect was caught while driving a refrigerated truck carrying 42,000 pounds of muenster cheese.
The products were stolen from K&K Cheese in Cashton, Wisconsin.
The company says it values the cheese at $200,000.
K&K didn't ask for the cheese back because it can't guarantee the product wasn't tampered with.
So if it passes inspections, police say the cheese will be donated to charity.
