MADISON (WKOW) -- The Federal Aviation Administration released its schedule for closing nearly 150 air traffic control towers, including eight in Wisconsin.
The first two towers to close in Wisconsin, Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh and Lawrence Timmerman Airport in Milwaukee, will shut down April 7.
The other six, including the tower at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport in Janesville, will close May 5.
The FAA is closing the towers due to federal budget cuts.
