Mother of bombing suspects claims tragedy was fake; father coming to U.S.
BOSTON (WKOW) -- The mother of the two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings says she believes this tragedy was fake.
A reporter for CNN asked Zubeidat Tsarnaev if she had seen the video of the bombing. "I haven't," she answered. There was no blood, she said. It was paint."
The suspect's mother says she feels sorry for the victims, but does not believe her sons were involved.
The suspect's father, Anzor Tsarnaev, is expected to travel to the United States. His wife will not be flying with him. Zubeidat Tsarnaev is wanted in the U.S. on felony charges of shoplifting and property damage in Massachusetts.
The suspect's father is expected to leave for the U.S. as early as Friday.
