MADISON (WKOW) -- Two retired National Guard members received one of the highest honors this weekend.
Retired Brigadier General Bruce Schrimpf and retired Sgt. Maj. Gary Hans were inducted in the Wisconsin Army National Guard Hall of Honor on Sunday.
The two were chosen by a special committee, to join the ranks of just 50 others previously inducted.
"I feel kind of humbled," says Schrimpf. "These are all people who have done extraordinary things for the guard, for the military."
Schrimpf, from Cedarburg, enlisted in 1969 and began his career as a trial and defense lawyer. Hans, from Jefferson, joined in 1984 and served for 34 years.
