WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- The Food and Drug Administration wants all indoor tanning beds to have a warning of the risk of cancer.
Health officials say it will help cut back on cases of melanoma.
The FDA is proposing that all beds have a warning for people under the age of 18 about the risks of indoor tanning.
The agency would also require a federal review of all beds before they are marketed.
Officials say the risk of melanoma is 75% higher in people who have been exposed to ultraviolet radiation from indoor tanning.
