MADISON (WKOW) – The state Department of Natural Resources
is waiving fees for the first weekend in June to encourage people to try new
The DNR plans to allow people to fish, hike or bike state
trails and ride public ATV trails for free on June 1 and June 2. Fisherman will not need a license and all
trail passes for DNR-owned state trails will be waived. ATV operators will not have to pay to
register their vehicles to ride on state trails or pay for trail passes.
On June 2, the agency also plans to let people into state
parks and forests fro free.
