MADISON (WKOW) -- Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisconsin) was in Madison Friday and she commented on the recent IRS scandal and crisis in Syria.
Sen. Baldwin says she agrees with the level of scrutiny that Washington has received from institutions and the public.
But she says that isn't stopping Congress from doing its job.
"While these other issues have been getting a lot of attention and are getting a lot of discussion, we have been able to continue also to focus on a very meaningful agenda. Particularly with the Farm Bill, something that is extremely important to the state of Wisconsin," she said.
Sen. Baldwin also says despite the heavy attention on these issues, Congress will move forward with legislation.
The bills at the forefront include the Farm Bill as well as immigration reform.
