ESPN Report: MLB seeking to suspend Braun, others

(WKOW) -- According to an ESPN report, Major League Baseball will seek to suspend around 20 players connected to an ongoing performance-enhancing drug scandal. Of the players, Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun is on the list and could be suspended within the next few weeks according to the report. "If the suspensions are upheld, the performance-enhancing drug scandal would be the largest in American sports history," the report said.

Tony Bosch, founder of the now-shuttered Biogenesis of America, reached an agreement to cooperate with MLB's investigation, which could likely allow MLB to hand out suspensions to the players.

An ESPN source familiar with the case said the commissioner's office might seek 100-game suspensions for Braun, Alex Rodriguez and other players, the penalty for a second doping offense. To read the entire report, click on the link.
