MADISON (WKOW) -- Two abortion-related bills are moving forward in the Assembly.
The assembly Health Committee approved two measures Wednesday.
One, from Assemblyman Andre Jacque, would prohibit most public insurance plans from covering abortions.
The bill would also allow some religious employers to provide health insurance plans without birth control coverage.
The second bill from Representative Steve Kestell would ban abortion based on gender selection.
The measures passed the committee on party line votes.
