MADISON (WKOW) -- A sweeping unemployment reform bill is on its way to the full Legislature.
Assembly and Senate committees both approved it today.
The bill makes several changes to the law. For instance, it would give the Department of Workforce Development some access to the bank accounts of people behind on their unemployment compensation debts.
The bill also includes stricter search and work training requirements for people receiving unemployment benefits.
