MADISON (WKOW) – Wisconsin
wildlife officials have named a new deer and elk researcher.
Dan Storm joined the
Department of Natural Resources last year as a researcher and studied
deer-vehicle collisions and furbearer monitoring. As the new deer and elk researcher, Storm
will study buck and fawn mortality and the nutritional condition of car-killed
Storm will also serve as a
consultant on deer and elk issues for DNR managers.
DNR Wildlife and Forestry
Section Chief Karl Martin says the agency moved Storm into the position on June
2 after his predecessor, Jared Duquette, resigned.
