MADISON (WKOW) – Police
from all over Wisconsin will meet in Wisconsin Dells for Attorney General J.B.
Van Hollen's annual public safety summit.
At the summit, school security
expert Ken Trump will talk about how to best protect schools in the wake of the
shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut last
year. Other breakout sessions will
include discussions about what can lead to sexual assaults, school bullying and
emerging trends in child exploitation.
Oak Creek Police Chief
John Edwards will speak about his agency and how they responded to a gunman who
killed six people at a Sikh temple in Milwaukee last summer.
The summit will start on
Wednesday at the Chula Vista Conference Center.
