FOND DU LAC (WKOW) -- An Oshkosh man is in custody after authorities say he drove away from a state trooper with a baby in his car.
Wisconsin State Patrol officials say Winnebago County deputies were searching for the 10-month-old baby believed to have been taken by a non-custodial parent.
A state trooper spotted the suspect's SUV around 8 p.m. on Saturday, which led to a chase, reaching 90 mph.
Officials say the suspect came upon a railroad crossing with the gates down and a moving train in the area. The trooper reported the driver went through one gate and turned parallel with the tracks and train, before getting stuck in the ditch.
It took about 30 minutes before the man obeyed commands to get out of the vehicle with the baby.
No one was hurt.
