MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- A suspect shot by Milwaukee police officers overnight has died.
Authorities tell WISN 12 News they were called to a fight at a gas station shortly before 2:00 a.m. Thursday. They heard nearby gunshots and found a man firing a weapon. Police say when he refused to drop his weapon, he was shot.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's office tells WISN the suspect is now dead. The officers were not injured.

Authorities say officers responded to a fight at a gas station just before 2:00 a.m. Upon arrival, the officers heard nearby gunshots and found a man firing a weapon. Officers say the man refused orders to drop the weapon and was shot.
According to our affiliate, WISN-TV, the suspect is in critical condition at a local hospital.
The officers were not injured. Authorities say the two officers are on desk duty while the shooting is investigated.
