BROWNTOWN (WKOW) -- A boy from Wisconsin is among the winners of a creative healthy lunch recipe challenge for children 8 to 12 years old.
11-year-old Liam Kivirst of Browntown will attend a meal at the White House hosted by first lady Michelle Obama on July 9th.
Kids from the contest came up with recipes that are healthy, affordable, original, and delicious. At least half of the recipe had to include fruits and vegetables.
Liam's recipe was for his Wisconsin solar oven-simmered chili. He says it's unique because it includes pumpkin, quinoa, and Wisconsin cheese.
He is eager to meet Mrs. Obama.
