MADISON (WKOW) -- A 19-year old man pleads guilty to two felony crimes in the fatal, baseball bat beating of another man over a botched, drug deal in Mount Horeb.
Koalton Peterson was convicted Monday of second degree reckless homicide and aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon.
As part of a plea agreement, a prosecutor says she will ask for no more than twenty-five years in prison for Peterson, when he is sentenced. Peterson faces a maximum thirty years in prison for the two crimes.
On Nov. 27, Peterson used a baseball bat to attack Smith, after Peterson said Smith punched him, when Peterson backed out of a proposed marijuana deal.
