MADISON (WKOW) -- 27 Storm Track Meteorologist Brian Olson says a flash flood warning is in effect for Dane, Rock, Walworth and Northeastern Green County until mid-morning on Wednesday.
Dane County Communications says about 30 to 40 roads are impassible due to heavy flooding.
Morning commuters should expect delays and proceed with caution.
MADISON (WKOW) -- The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for much of the morning on Wednesday.
Bands of thunderstorms with heavy rain and flash flooding are affecting portions of south central and far southern Wisconsin. The thunderstorms will eventually weaken by late Wednesday morning.
Flash Flood warning for Southern Dane County in South Central Wisconsin until 8:30 a.m.
The flash flooding warning is in effect for Northeastern Green County and Northwestern Rock County until 9:00 a.m.
A flash flooding watch is in effect for Dane County, Columbia County, Green County, Iowa County, Lafayette County, Rock County Sauk County and Walworth County until 11:00 a.m.
A flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding.
