JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Two people were hurt in a chain reaction crash on Interstate 39 near Janesville.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says it all started around 11:15 a.m. Thursday where Highway 26 merges onto I-39.
Troopers say a merging car stopped at the top of the ramp. A military Humvee behind it hit its brakes and a military Hemtt wrecker behind the Humvee swerved to the left. A semi behind the wrecker also went left and the two collided.
The semi ran into the bridge wall on the left shoulder. The wrecker swerved to the right and ran over the bridge wall on the right shoulder, going through the wall and knocking debris down onto Highway 26 below.
The debris that fell damaged one vehicle on Highway 26.
Two people from the wrecker were taken to Mercy Hospital in Janesville. Troopers say their injuries are not life threatening.
JANESVILLE (WKOW) --- The State Patrol tells us the crash was between a tractor trailer and an army vehicle. The accident on I-39 and Hwy 26 happened just after 11 a.m.
One lane is still closed SB as they continue to repair the bridge.
The driver of the army vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries.
No other injuries reported.
JANESVILLE (WKOW) --- Crews are on the scene of a crash involving an army vehicle and a semi on Interstate 39 in Janesville.
The crash happened before noon today.
Rock County Communications did not know of any injuries from the crash.
SB lanes are blocked and traffic is being re-routed until the scene is cleared.
