MT. PLEASANT, Texas (WKOW) -- The Texas woman accused of sending ricin-laced letters to President Obama and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has been indicted and charged.
Police arrested Shannon Guess Richardson on June 7 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
Authorities say she sent three letters containing the toxin to President Obama, Mayor Bloomberg and the head of Bloomberg's gun control group in Washington.
Richardson is a Texas-based actress who has had minor roles in TV series. Her indictment includes three counts, one for each letter she allegedly sent.
She faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
