MADISON (WKOW) – Waterfowl hunters will get a chance to talk about this fall's season structures at a series of public hearings scheduled next month.
The state Department of Natural Resources is asking the public for input on dates, potential changes in season timing and daily bag limits as they set up the seasons.
Agency officials want to use the information they gather at these meetings to construct season structures that will be presented to their board on August 14 in Baraboo.
The DNR's proposed season will be available online on August 5. The first public hearing is set for that same day in La Crosse.
More hearings are scheduled in Rice Lake on August 6, Appleton on August 7 and Pewaukee on August 8.
