MADISON (WKOW) -- Last week, the jobs report showed the U.S. economy added 162,000 jobs in July, but that was fewer than economists expected.
Now, some financial experts believe that as a society, we need to rethink our monetary system and look at the advantages of a local currency.
Jacqui Dunne, a currency expert and author, is in Madison for the Democracy Convention this weekend. She will be the keynote speak to talk about new currencies.
Dunne is the co-author of "Rethinking Money: How New Currencies Turn Scarcity into Prosperity".
Dunne joined us on 27 News at 5 on Thursday.
