MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The number three man at the state Department of Transportation was fired after his Facebook comments about illegal immigrants.
Steven Krieser served as the assistant deputy secretary at the DOT.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Krieser commented on a post by state democratic assemblyman Gordon Hintz, who indicated he wanted to get rid of a bumper sticker that said "Illegal immigrant hunting permit".
In the post, Krieser said the bumper sticker was probably over the top, but then went into a rant about undocumented workers, saying they completely ruined entire states and industries and likened them to Satan.
The Journal Sentinel says Governor Walker fired Krieser less than two hours after he heard about the comments.
Krieser has apologized, saying he used a poor choice of words.
