MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- In just one week, Milwaukee has been hit with approximately 20 shootings, with five people killed.
Milwaukee police say since Friday, there have been five homicides, plus two other victims shot during robberies who have been declared brain dead.
A 26-year-old man was shot Wednesday afternoon after a dispute. Police say the suspects left the area, only to return and shoot the victim.
Another fatal shooting happened late Wednesday night, however, details have yet to be provided.
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and Police Chief Ed Flynn say additional officers will be patrolling problem areas of the city.
The majority of the past week's shootings have taken place in the daylight.
