MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- Middleton police and firefighters go head-to-head to help a young boy with cancer.
It was "Guns vs. Hoses" on the Fireman's Park diamond in Middleton for the second annual charity softball game. 5-year-old Cole Truitt threw out the first pitch at the game Saturday.
The event raises money for the Middleton boy, who was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Cole's family says he's passionate about firefighters and police officers and enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities.
The game went into extra innings Saturday, but firefighters took the win with a final score of 18-17.
