MADISON (WKOW) -- Raising money is the focus of area firefighters this week.
They're collecting donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association with their annual 'Fill the Boot' program.
The Dane County Regional Airport fire crew was out in their neighborhood Tuesday, at the intersection of Wright and Pierstorff Streets.
This is a big MDA fundraiser each year.
Wisconsin fire fighters raised $750,000 in this event last year.
Wednesday, the airport fire crew will be out again, this time at the intersection of Anderson Street and International Lane, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
All donations will benefit local MDA clients and services like sending children and young adults to MDA summer camp in Kenosha County, funding clinic visits at UW and St. Mary's Hospital Clinics, and financing wheelchair repairs.
