MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Police arrested three teens in connection to an armed robbery on Madison's northside early Tuesday morning.
According to the police report, a 53-year-old Madison woman told police she was robbed by a group of young people around 1:54 a.m. on Tuesday while walking along Northport Drive. The victim says the group rushed her. She says the female suspect held a knife to her throat, while a male suspect pointed a gun at her.
The report says the robbers demanded money, so the victim gave up her purse. After giving up her purse, the victim was punched in the head and then repeatedly kicked and punched while she was down on the ground.
The victim says she saw a car approaching, so she ran into the street to wave down the passing motorist. The suspects ran off.
Officers later located three suspects near a gas station. 18-year-old Lee Scott, from Madison, a 13-year-old Madison girl, and a 16-year-old from Sun Prairie were arrested for being party to an armed robbery.
The report says the suspects were in possession of electronics, and other items, which police believe were stolen from parked cars. The robbery victim's purse was found along the path of the suspects' flight. Its contents had been scattered, and were also recovered.
