MADISON (WKOW) --- Assembly Speaker Robin Vos released the following statement regarding the announcement of the schools named for the statewide choice program.
"I am pleased to see that schools in nearly every area of our state will have the opportunity to take part in the new Wisconsin Parental Choice Program. This process has illustrated that there's a large demand for the choice program in Wisconsin. Parents and guardians of more than 2,400 students submitted applications during a very short time frame. Unfortunately, only 500 students this year can participate and 1,000 students next school year. This clearly proves the need for further expansion of statewide school choice and I look forward to accomplishing that in the next budget."
