MADISON (WKOW) -- Before rear-ending one vehicle, an intoxicated driver clipped another on E. Johnson Street very early Friday morning.
Following the second collision, the suspect, 59-year-old Nathaniel Abrams, struck a building and then landed back on the roadway.
A large number of bystanders gathered as police arrived. Witnesses say Abrams got out of his vehicle, fell to the ground, then got back behind the wheel and attempted to drive away.
Police, however, got to him first and he was taken to a hospital for minor injuries.
Abrams was arrested for OWI, his third offense; operating while revoked and unsafe lane deviation.
