MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Police Department says an attempted robbery took place in the 300 block of North Paterson Street on Saturday, August 17th around 10 a.m.
A 29-year-old man came across a man yelling in the middle of the street. When he went to him, he was hit in the face by a second man. The first suspect joined and demanded money. The victim was able to fight them off.
No weapons were seen, but one of the men did threaten to retrieve one. The victim continued to defend and eventually chased them away.
The first suspect is a white male. He is around 15-20 years old. He is about five foot three inches to four inches and 110 pounds. He was described as having light brown shaggy hair. He was wearing a large white T-shirt and denim shorts.
The second suspect is a black male. He is around 17-20 years old. He is about five foot eight inches and 130 pounds. He had short hair and was wearing a red hooded zip-up jacket.
Both suspects were going northbound on North Paterson Street.
