MADISON (WKOW) -- Attorney general J.B. Van Hollen announces the conviction of Susan Droessler, of Columbus, of one count of felony theft.
Droessler was in Columbia County Circuit Court Monday morning, where she pleaded guilty. Judge Alan White accepted her plea and set sentencing for the morning of October 15.
According to the criminal complaint, Droessler worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for St. Jerome Parish and School in Columbus.
In January 2010, a trustee on the parish finance council large sums of money had been misappropriated from the church and school, dating back to at least 2007.
