MADISON (WKOW) -- Police officials who united last week have raised thousands of dollars for Special Olympics of Wisconsin.
"Cop on a Rooftop" had law enforcement scaling the walls of Dunkin' Donuts stores across the state. The Rock County Sheriff's Officer says its personnel that volunteered last Friday helped raise $2,900. The Sheriff's Office says the Wisconsin County Police Association donated $1,000 of the total.
This is the second year that Wisconsin police officers have participated.
The money raised goes toward the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Torch Run, which raised over $2.5 million last year, making it one of the highest grossing programs in the world.
