MADISON (WKOW) --- Madison Police responded to a large street fight Monday night on Valor Way around 10 p.m.
Witnesses told police as many as 20 people were involved, and that one person had a knife and others had belts.
When police arrived many scattered, but police were able to find an injured 17-year-old male.
He was hit in the face and hit his head on the curb after falling to the ground.
Police say some of the attackers have gang affiliations.
Police say they were told someone disrespected someone else's mother when the fight broke out.
The injured teen received stitches to his head.
The victim says he did not want police to intervene in the situation and would not give out any information on the attack.
